CONTRIBUTION UPDATE

I have been planning lately on updating my share contributions with social security system and Pag-ibig mutual fund to check and verify if all those deductions I am seeing in my payslip every time were then reflected accurately. And so, if not. At least I would be informed right away and have ample time to do the necessary process to take. 

After hearing some members complaints encountered with regard to contributions they have remitted, and learned how tedious it is to track down. I decided to monitor my contribution update from time to time. It may sound a waste of time to some but I believe it is not just remitting your contribution, it is also about being responsible and aware of the ins and outs of your hard earned money that is compulsory deducted from our salary.  After all, I do not like to hassle myself for such miscommunication, so if I can act now that would be better.

ONLINE STORE, ONLINE SCAM

Internet has become a powerful tool in this generation, it reaches out people of different part of the world within seconds, and it makes people aware and interacting by means of online connection. It has made a lot easier and convenient to most if not all user in this planet Earth.  The time we save from it and other good advantage internet supplied us is indeed significant.

 

While we enjoy the benefit of online information available, some uses this medium for good, others took opportunity to do business. I know some acquaintance who build online store and become successful. And on the other hand, I also knew people who were scammed by buying online.  

I am a huge fan of online store, I buy online whenever I found a best buy of the item I am looking. But before I contact the seller, I also do some research of the item I am planning to buy. Aside from quality, I also check the price range of the item before bidding. So I won’t regret at the end of my purchase. Why I am saying this?  For my protection and be more knowledgeable, to avoid scam. Better equipped yourself than sorry because you did not made an effort to learn.

WHY ITS HARD TO LIE

Sharing here a good read from the book body language, that refers to lying and smiles and the body language itself. The author says that : most people believe that when someone is lying they smile more than usual, but research shows the opposite is true- they smile less. The difficulty with lying is that the subconscious mind acts automatically and independently of our verbal lie, so our body language gives us away. This is why people who rarely tell lies are easily caught, regardless of how convincing they may sound. The moment they begin to lie, their body sends out contradictory signals, and these gives us a feeling that they're not telling the truth. During the lie, the subconscious mind sends out nervous energy which appears as a gesture that can contradict what was said. Professional liars , such as politicians, lawyers, actors and television announcers, have refined their body gestures to the point where it is difficult to "see" the lie, and people fall for it, hook, line and sinker.With practice, liars can become convincing just like actors.Interesting Isn't it?

So it is the other way around, what the conventional assumption we have, that liars are the ones that smiles the most. Hmm, now I am convinced that most of the professional liars do practice the moves to perfection. This is scary if this involves choosing the public servant to serve.

GOOD FOOD GOOD LIFE

I used to rants about the commercial being introduced to the public by some product advertisers due to exaggerated statement they make to catch their target market attention. And since advertisement that looks pleasing and enticing to the eye of the consumer , the product is sold with the help of creative people behind the increase of demands.

On the other hand, if there are ads that mislead the mass, there are also some ads that are true to what their claiming their service, item, product has. And giving awareness to the public of such important information makes a big difference that leads to living a healthy lifestyle.Campaigns that promotes the use of recyclable material and eradicate the use of non biodegradable stuff. Take for example this Organic Fruit Baskets that I chance to view on the net.

IN MY DREAM

Like I said before , one of my  many dream is to design my own house and put all the pieces that I would like to associate inside that place called home from roof to flooring.  I want my house speak of the personality of the owner. I am now re structuring those ideas one by one I know soon this dream will do come true that's why I keep myself updated of the latest interior designs. By means of  magazines ,home improvements  hand outs and informative talk shows in the television. The latest magazine issue that I brought home with me features alloc flooring , sink and tiles that adds up viable information on interior designing. Just a matter of  time,and I  can apply that stock knowledge in me , in due time. 

ASKING FOR FORGIVENESS

Pride is dangerous, it is the very reason why Satan was brought down to the depths of the pit.( Isaiah 14:13-15). We all have this pride of life and we love to put ourselves better than the others. Sometimes it shows when we wronged others or even the closest person we love, and we cannot even ask for forgiveness, we sometimes became so proud to treat them cold when in fact we are the offender. Why is that? 

I have here a conversation of God and Satan from Christopher Notes. 

Satan was complaining to the Lord, " You are unfair, so many sinners do wrong and you take them back. In fact, some back half a dozen times and you always welcome them. I make one big mistake and you condemn me forever; it is not fair."

Said the Lord, " Did you ever ask for forgiveness or repent?". 

Scary isn't it? what pride might cause us in the end. As said in 1Peter 5:5 All of you clothe yourselves with humility toward one another because, "God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble."  Will it make you a less person if you first approach your brother and say sorry and ask for forgiveness?. I don't think so. This is the reason why many offenders are unforgiven, because they do not ask for forgiveness and remorseful for what they did.

KEEPING IN TOUCH

For three days now that my boss is on business trip , her presence still felt in the office. Why would I say so? because she keeps on calling me or my other office mates, reminding us of our deadlines and so on. I have nothing against those calls, its just that, we want her to concentrate in his trip and breath freely, we want her to focus on the matter to serve the purpose of their travel. On the other hand, I appreciate my boss concerns to us and her thoughtfulness. 

Maybe, she wants us to update her every once in awhile, about the status of those works that she left for us to take care of. Though I emailed her my concerns, maybe calling her via phone is much appreciated, It's just me, thinking that way, not my boss. On Friday, she is schedule to arrive, I hope she has a good news for everybody, aside from work.

COPYCAT

Surely we all know the importance of having a good hardware storage for our backup files, be it personal files or a business related file. The bottomline is to always duplicate the files before deleting or whatsoever you may wish to do with it.It has been my practice since I learned my lesson on data backup.Before I would not save my files as I believe it is automatically saved. I am also confident before on my files  stored in my computer, not until I encounter incident on my computer which leads to crashing of my saved files. All files are gone and we could not retrieve it anymore. The only option was to reformat the windows application and start all over again. It was hard to accept and I learned my lesson the hard way 

MUSIC THAT I SCAN TODAY

One of the controversial song that Lady gaga  introduce in the market is  her latest  single entitled  Born this way, which give way of little Maria to become instant celebrity over this song. Anyway this song was said to be  a rip of Madonna's Express yourself, most critic claim that the lyrics and content  is almost the same of Madonna's hit single.

And Her Judas song was being criticized for its content, I have not heard it yet when my friend told me about the song, and invite me to view the video on you tube. But this morning I was looking for the official video for Judas song, but most of the comment I read says, it was blocked as it is copy written. But hope this will do, Just the Audio one. One of the comment I read says, the Judas song was meant for his ex -boyfriend whom she loved and have given her all but then, despite the love Gaga give , he betray her three times. What can you say about that?  For me, I still don't like this song, I don't like the content, I could not say more, all I can say is that, let's scan the music content before we patronize it. Music plays a vital role in our life nowadays, and if do not guard the music we listened, unknowingly we become what we love to listen and hear.

NO WORRIES

At last I was able to update this page of mine after a week of vacation. I called my brother this afternoon to ask updates on their life, we were talking when my niece interrupt us to remind me of her Birthday next month. Oh, I told her I will just send my gift, and will get the budget from the fund I am saving for emergency assistance. My brother was laugh so hard when he heard me say about that.I don't know if he think I am joking but , really I'm not, Lately I keep an amount   every payday allotted for unscheduled expenses  like the Birthday party of my niece that I forgot, but at least now I don't have to worry about that because I can use my emergency fund.

NUCLEAR RADIATION

This morning the message about the leak of nuclear radiation from the nuclear plant in Japan have scared almost everyone in the country, as the text messages spread out , the sender says that everyone should take extra precaution , and if it's possible the people is warn not to go out around 4pm this afternoon as the wind is said to be infected from the radiation that comes from Japan. The sender has advice to buy a betadine and rub it in the neck as the radiation , first strike the throat. And if the rain pour out, the sender of the text message says not to go out, and if it cannot be prevented to go outside, a raincoat and umbrella is advice to use. Well, common sense if it rains you have to wear a protection for you not to get wet, hehe.

One of the victim of this misleading information of some forwarded text messages is my dearest friend, believe it or not, he started calling his mom and instructed to buy a betadine for protection, I was asking him, why he do that, but I couldn't laugh with his action because I know he was just trying to protect his loved ones. I explained that the probability of us be infected from the radiation is very rare,I told him before the case of world war II were in the leak from the nuclear radiation has also detected, but we did not hear of contamination here.  But he has a point also, which I didn't debate further, That God can cause that radiation to hit us, if He will allow it, But since He spare us in the grave threat of Tsunami, that does not mean, we have to dare God.

NATURAL DISASTERS

As I have posted on my previous post about tsunami that hit Japan this Friday what came in to my mind was about the natural disaster that hit some of the nation this past two years. Do you remember the flood that engulf some of the area in metro manila last September 2009? . The Haiti tragedy happened last year where in more Filipinos was affected also, their cities was in total wreck, then the all star hollywood figures come up with a project to raise a fund for the victim of Haiti Earthquake. Chile Earthquake also last February 2010. Isn't alarming, how nature is coming up to us? . How about flood and landslide in Brazil last Dec. 2010, Flood in Australia. New Zealand Earthquake last  February  2011, and now the very latest and breaking news, is the Earthquake that created tsunami in Japan just this Friday , March 11,2011. 

If I am to count those natural calamities we  experience this fast few years, I know some of the family who were affected by disaster where in disbelief and  still in hard time accepting their loss, but I can assure you, it is just normal, soon their country will be on track again. Warnings are now visible, if we are not to do our part of being a good and responsible citizens, we will still encounter  this events  in life. What we can do right now, is pray for our brothers and sister in Christ Jesus, for the meantime what we can do is pray, pray , pray that God will not forsake us and spare us in any disaster, anyway who would wish for those calamities ? no one , right?

DEAR GLOBE BROADBAND

I can't believe this, it took me half an hour waiting for the site to load, this is no good at all.Wasting my time in front of my monitor waiting for it to load, I decided to reach out your hotline , inquire again, for a countless time. I'm sure those customer reprsentative knows me already, as I seem to keep in touch with you regularly.But same old story, and same old tag lines from your csr, "I'm sorry mam for the inconvenience, how may I help you" may I know your full name to verify your account with us, so we can make a report". Dear  Globe broadband, your making me sick lately, I don't mend your being slow before, but lately it seems like the failure connection comes to visit your client more often. Why is that?  your fast and efficient  when reminding your client who overlook  payments sometimes, but you can't give us a fair service in return of our hard earned dough that we religiously pay you every month in exchange of your internet service. But what happens after our complaints? Is it just stored in your system? Because I wonder if the real issue was resolved, I believe your hotline will breath freely, you will not expereince a momentarily high volumes of call as your recorded csr says when we try to connect. The real issue is still there, so we keep coming and coming to express our dispute. Who likes complaints anyway? of course I don't , but the service I am getting leaves me no choice but to pick up my phone and plea for equivalent action in your part. I have nothing against customer service, as I know they are trying their best to address all the concern of their client's. But whose gonna take charge for all this internet connection interruption every now and then? Whom should we address this same old technical issues were getting from your service? 

AN EDSA REVOLUTION FLASH BACK

My long due post Edsa entry was at last done and is ready to share here in in this page. Thanks to all those people out there who have shared their emotions and other opinions for the celebration last Friday, February 25,2011. First of all, the day was not mark a special holiday which the former administration did, to give way for the said historic event in our country. No comment with that:-). I was not present in the time Edsa revolution in 1986 was formed, I was a martial law baby, what was happening during the Martial law, and Edsa days has no impact to me during that time. But to this day, those stories of my family, my Lolo , news and the history books had given me somehow information and knowledge of those event in the country of my own. 

Younger people were asked on their views about the Edsa revolution, Some says " Edsa was the eye opener for the Filipino people to fight for their  freedom". to be freed from the dictatorship of  President who serve the country for two decades is overwhelming. That justice has bid ways to those oppressed during the dictatorship, The killing of Ninoy Aquino has ignited the flame to end the dictatorship administration. What was beyond all this story has not yet been told, I guess, as there is always two sides of the story , three and four sides to tell. and to which of that is told correctly, we really don't know. Only God knows.  We can't judge and condemned the people  who was accused  behind the crime because we are not present at the time it happened, we only rely on stories and news.

What is the true meaning of Edsa  revolution anyway? I believe during this time the Filipino shows oneness  of call for change in leadership. And we all know the people power , right? If majority say No, stop and act, all the rest will be history. But how about you? do you really know the meaning of Edsa revolution? or your also one of the mediocre who go out and shout out  for the second time around when the people power had formulated to make the administration you voted to step down because you were not satisfied, so you desire change again without evaluating yourself if you have been a good citizen to your country, Are you one of the  Filipino who where there just to be called present at the time the revolution happened? but if asked, you can't state your own reason of supporting it and why you sacrifice your time to be part of the people power. We always shout for change of governance, but if I may ask, when can  we realize that we are part of this changes failures, dissatisfaction? we always tend to look up on our leaders to blame, but we do not do our part as a community. It's easy for us to find fault on our government when in fact we can't admit ourselves that we are also to blame . Anyway, so much for this, May God bless us all and our country.

THE RIGHT TO DEFEND

First of all no one should be deprive of his/her right. I say so because I greatly believe laws are made to serve as a guidelines and standard for every citizen. My father had his heart attack when he working in a big construction company. He got his heart failure from his job exposure in the construction field, with that he filed a case against the company and won the case, he was given a lifetime allotment  for the health damaged.  My father is just one of the successful example who fought for his right. If there is a need for help, go get helped. Share your story, and tell the right person who is  capable of understanding your concern. Get a good and experienced   lawyer to defend you on your cause until the battle is over.

BEWARE TAXI DRIVER

I ride a taxi from East mall to my place, usually my fare meter for the ride only cost me seventy pesos. but two days ago, I was given a receipt by the taxi driver, named Gilbert, Escol.Driving C-097 yellow cab. He was expecting me to pay him an amount from the receipt which cost 274 pesos. I asked him why I was billed that much, when I used to ride a taxi from that mall to my place, and my fare never reach that amount. no matter how traffic it is. His answer was simple, he was a yellow cab taxi, an airport taxi, and their plug down rate is 70 pesos.

I told him I will report him, and even dare me to do it, just to give him the amount in the receipt. I refuse to pay him and demand to get his name and validate it in his identification card, I checked his receipt and saw that the date of receipt was December 12,2009. Hey, taxi driver, don't fool me around,its December 25,2010 now and the time is 7:30pm not 4pm, you freak!. I don't care if your an airport taxi, in the first place, I didn't ride in the airport. If your exclusive for the airport, then don't pick up anywhere in the metro. When I start questioning him the details in his receipt, he immediately  agrees to accept  the amount that I told him I am used to pay, the 70 pesos. You see, if I was not that bold enough to ask him and just let him fool me, he will go away with the money he never sweat. I'm still not giving up, I have all the details of the receipt and his name and the cabs plate number , I am going to report that man, when office for LTFRB resume.

Note, It was only that time that I learned about there 70 pesos plug down rate, I was really clueless,  yet he is responsible of letting his passenger know there special rate. And even so, his giving the  passenger a receipt  that does not match the details on the actual date and time of ride, is a big NO, NO. So please beware, before you ride a cab, make sure you have the details of the taxi, the plate number, the franchise number and the name of the driver, if you can call your loved ones while your inside the cab, do it, and make the driver hear the flow of your conversation  with the person you called, and that your giving the details of his cab. For your own protection, its better to be alert than sorry, in that way you are giving the driver  a hint  to do their job rightfully and  drop you whole  in front of your place. And another thing, if you don't know the exact location of the place you are going to, I suggest you asked a friend  first before you  ride a cab,  because if not, and you just let the driver lead the way, chances are you will be tour around before heading the place. But not all drivers are crooked, and do those tricks, there are still few good drivers  out there, your lucky if you were able to ride with a good taxi driver, but if not,  those crook taxi driver  out there will make money out of your  innocence. So, careful, with my experience of riding a taxi, the most cases I encounter is the fast meter of taxi driver, touring you around if your not familiar on the place you are heading to, over charging and contractual conveyance.

WORK IS WAITING TOMORROW

Today is the last day of our official holiday rest, tomorrow will get back to work , I'm thinking of my pending task in the office which I was not able to finish before  Christmas came. I still have courier to send to our Palawan branch , Office supplies to put in their respective shelves, a papers to be stamp with a custom rubber stamps, a collection to reconcile, a report to be done. So much things to do that I have to make sure  I have fix them all before the holiday for New year come. I want to start the year with a clean slate and  no more pendings to worry about while I am having my vacation.

MERRY MONEY

Can you imagine how money smiles these days? they are valuable and loved and kept with care in our pockets , vaults and in bank. We spent money more these days because we buy presents for our loved ones and for ourselves also.Its also tempting to spent on new high tech gadget, dress, shoes and other stuff that gives us boost. 

If we are not going to spent wisely our hard earned money, and let ourselves indulged for good things while we have money in our pockets, then chances are those big malls are going to swept out our money in no time, and when we realized it, I hope it's not yet late for us to account our expenses then shook head when we found out that our budget has exceed our limits. A friendly reminder, let's be wise and be in control, leave the temptation at home, don't bring credit cards when visiting the malls, so you won't go after that red velvet dress that you wish to wear on Christmas.Don't be fool by "ENJOY NOW PAY LATER" . That punch line on some credit card is my motivation not to swipe my card, for me it says "ENJOY NOW THEN SUFFER LATER". Yay!

FEAR BUSTER

According to R.Kiyosaki, there are five factors to consider if you want to overcome obstacle in achieving your goal. First, is the FEAR , CYNICISM , LAZINESS , BAD HABITS and ARROGANCE.

FEAR was mention first because we all have this inside, our nature tends to avoid rejection and losing something that is so precious to us. But as R.K says in his book , You should know how to handle your fear, because its how you handle losing and failures that makes difference in one's life.It's okay to be fearful, it's okay to be coward when it comes to losing money, but don't let that failure crippled you to try again. Remember that we are ll heroes at something and cowards at something else. 

CYNISM, we must learn to dealt the doubts in us, stop the pity yourselves habit, I'm not good" I'm not smart. Unless you don't change your paradigm don't expect to an over comer of what you struggling of.

 LAZINESS, being a little greedy is a cure to laziness, as RK says. When you want something don't say "I can't afford it" instead say how can I afford it? . BAD HABITS , pay yourself first before the bills , make the bills your motivation to look for other resources that would payoff, and leave your savings untouched. Last is the ARROGANCE, arrogance is ego plus ignorance.

HEALTH ASSURANCE

One of my prayers to God is to keep my family's health condition intact and good always, I'd prefer be a mediocre than have all the fame and honor with unstable health condition. For me, health is very important and also to all. That's why we are always reminded by our ancestors , manual, spiritual teachings , health experts to put our health on top priority. Taking care of our health does not need to be expensive, I believe there are still cheap health insurance we could get to secure our families health. But we should not only rely on our health card and insurances , of course we also have to sweat if we really aim to have a healthy lifestyle and have a good old days when our age come. Better ready always than nothing.
