STARTING BACK AGAIN

A friend of mine go home one night throwing herself on the bed, I had no idea yet that she was so much in depression. She started crying that the cry went visible to my ear. I do not know what to do, so I go out of the room to give her space for awhile. When I get back, she was back in her composure but I kept quite. I waited for her to talk. 

She was my friend for four years now, I meet her at work. To cut the long story short, she is staying in my pad for the meantime. Now shes in her third night. She has trouble with her love life and she needed someone to talk to, the pain really is putting her down. I can relate somehow to her as I have experienced the bruises caused by a special someone whom you dearly loved. Her guy call it quits for reason of another party, which she finds out herself but the guy won't admit it.

What to do with it if the guy has fallen out of love? I love my friend and I know there is no better way to break someones heart, so I gave her the advice that I have once heard from wise and godly people whom once helped me. This morning I have seen some good improvements on her, and I hope soon she will get over the pain.

GARDEN OF EDEN

I always dreamed of having a beautiful garden of my own, where I can plant different kinds of flowers. I remember when I was in grade school and living at the house of my grand mother I would always saw my Lola watering her garden while humming her favorite song. She loves flowers so much, I know that because every morning her eyes glow every time a new flower blooms. Tonight, I am reminded again with my Lola's garden when I find wooden trellises after clicking at some nice gallery of garden online. If only I could share those picture of lovely flowers at no time, my Grandma will definitely love it.

MOVIE WATCH : THE MISTRESS

I, invited ten tonight to watch with me the movie that my office mate keep telling me about. My office mate invited me the other week but I have prior appointment so the date was cancelled. But today, out of nothing or maybe out of curiosity I  wanted some drama to watch aside from my own dramas in life, haha. 

Let's talk about the movie, before the show begun rolling my expectation was drawing me near to see the promoted film of my office mate to yours truly. After the film showing my eyes started scanning the different faces that patronizes the movie,  I noticed that most of the movie goers  are in their mid 30's and 40's ladies and gents. Men, I could see there faces so serious heading the door outside. Possibly they got carried away by Sari and JD's acting. Anyway  here's my conclusion, the film was heavy. I mean heavy because it portray a complicated relationship between a father and son, a special woman and suffering mom. The ending of the movie was realistic and I can say it ended the way I am expecting it to end. The message was conveyed well , and to some, the characters may have left them teary eyed.

What I like about this movie is that the main foundation of our society, the family was preserved and was given its importance. The film showcase different emotions such as  misery , loneliness, fear , anger , gratitude, love , repentance and forgiveness. At the end of the story the characters were freed from negative forces of emotion and was put back in the proper track. 

Some friends of mine that have seen  the movie were not that satisfy with the ending, which I think just normal and okay as we are raised up together with our favorite fairy tale  character, picturing a happy ending story of two people loving each other dearly. But then real life is a different story that can be more concern of. Knowing that not all love story are right , not every love story end up happy ever after,at times no matter how strong and intense that love is, .. yet  it is better off than together. 

TODAY IS NATIONAL HEROES DAY

It is a great privilege to me to enjoy  these kind of  Holiday because once upon a time there were brave Filipino Heroes in this land who fought  for my freedom against foreign conqueror. Their blood was spilled in our own ground in exchange for my Independence, my deep gratitude and respect will always be upon them.

And to the heroes that was introduced to me at my early education , I salute the  heroic act you contributed to the history of my home land. You all are extra ordinary. 

Apolinario Mabini-  who despite being physically challenged , unselfishly inked his knowledge for me to have a guide on the First constitution of the Philippine Republic.He serves as the brain of Philippine revolution in 1898.

Emilio Aguinaldo - who became the First leader of the Philippine Republic , He proclaimed the Philippine Independence  on June 12, 1898 at the veranda of his residence in Kawit Cavite.

 Melchora Aquino - more known as Tandang Sora, who in her generosity and love for her countrymen stands as the nurse to the wounded  Filipino's  in revolution . She became the refuge of hungry and sick Katipunero.Her age was 84 when the revolution explode. 

 Andres Bonifacio - Orphan at the age of 14, poor yet has the desire in his heart to break the oppression in the land. He was not able to finish his study, A smart man who loves to read beneficial books like that of  Jose Rizal's work. When J.Rizal was captured in December of 1898, Andres Bonifacio founded the Philippine revolution, the KKK, Kataastaasan, Kagalang galangang ,Katipunan Anak ng bayan. He was known as the Father of the Revolution in 1898.

Dr. Jose P. Rizal - is the National Hero of the Philippines, one of his many novels namely Noli Me Tangere, El Filibusterismo has flamed the heart of many Filipinos in making stand to fight against Spain that oppress the freedom of Filipinos in their own land. He founded the La Liga Filipina , an organization which later gave birth to KKK, headed by A. Bonifacio. J. Rizal was captured and exiled on December of 1898 at Dapitan.  

I know there are nameless Filipino's who fought for the generations to come , that we may now experience what they have not freely acquire in their time. To quote the national Anthem where the lyrics says"

Land of the sun, of glory, and loving,
Life is Heaven in Thine embrace.

Amen! Could you imagine how Filipino life will be today without those brave and fearless Filipino ancestors of ours  this land that traded life for the countries freedom?

ONE OF ITS KIND

If you will remember last month , when the comedy king passed away ; millions of his followers pay a visit on his wake. What's common in these events with other famous personality whom have rest in peace, are the souvenirs that some creative businessmen do. And this kind of seasonal business do click to followers and an extra income to some  artist  that offers customized t-shirts from shirtmagic  where they make  according to the theme of events, through prints and visual that would convey the message of gratitude, love, respect and admiration to the late icon they loved. At the end, everyone is happy , the family of the late icon that sees the overwhelming supports of the followers, the satisfaction of the followers and the fulfillment to the artist who made it possible for everyone.

TILL DEATH DO US PART

When I hear the word " Till death do us part" the first thing that comes to my mind is marriage. Where two people bound themselves in front of sacred altar to stay together in riches and in poorer. And how many times did I hear that powerful lines? Countless. When man and woman exchange vow with each other, the symbols are there. To common traditions the binding is symbolize by ring, by sterling silver cuff as other my say it, depends on how they call it. As for my friends and family, marriage is a commitment to love, to respect, to trust and to understand and to accept.

It's been two days now that this song keeps playing  over and over again inside my  head, every time it starts rolling, I'm totally knock off , unashamed to let go of those tears wanting to flow freely.Oh God, I will be forever thankful and grateful for the love poured out, for the blood spilled for my ransom.Bring me to my knees , rid me of myself I belong to you, lead me to the cross, Lord.

COVERING AN OFFENSE

We, humans are flawed. At some time, in some way , each and every person we love and trust will fail us. That is why it is so important to decide in advance how you will respond when the sting of a wrong leaves its mark on your heart. 

Conventional wisdom says to get even, but Godly wisdom says that happiness , peace, reconciliation, and love will follow you when you do just the opposite, cover the offense with love and forgiveness. It does not mean it is always right to ignore such actions or the motives that drive them. But it does mean that it's right to refuse to broadcast it, nag about it, use it to gain power over the offender.

When we cover an offense, you acknowledge that you also are flawed and in need of forgiveness. You allow the law of love to rule over the law of retribution in your life. 

If you want people to like you, forgive them when the wrong you. - proverbs 17-9 Gnt.

THE GIFT OF LOVE

I was once asked by my friend the secret recipe why my relationship with my long time boyfriend become stronger and stronger through out those years, and I paused for awhile and answer him. There is no special recipe for ours I think, its just that maybe the respect, trust and  love keeps us closer. I don't know why all of a sudden he became curious about my life as if he was trying to absorb some details. 

Then,I remember two days from now they will celebrate their 1st year anniversary with his girl as couple, but unfortunately they are at war to this moment and he needed a rescue according to him. So I told him,  get your girlfriend some chocolate strawberries for it would surely melt her heart away, girls are so easy to please specially if the effort comes from their special someone, because we long for love ,care and pampering. After hearing those words from me he ask me to go with him to help him look for his peace offering. Nice move.

TO MY ROOT

You were the instrument of why my existence here on Earth has started rolling, You were my mothers greatest teacher and biggest fan. Your being a disciplinarian to them has paved through, as it is evidence in my life today. Though most of time my Aunt to do not understand you and mom expresses her feelings towards you, I never doubted your love and capacity to keep the family intact. I deeply admire you Lola, and now that it is our time to take care of you, May you bless Aunt, for not being a good daughter and for bearing the responsibility of making you safe and in good health. If only I can carry you every time it is your turn to change your adult diapers I would personally be happy to do it for you, my root.

THERE IS MORE TO GIVE

If only she is rich she would buy anything for her family, that was the line that my friend unconsciously utter while we where window shopping yesterday after work. I asked her to come with me if she has a free time, we had our dinner there in the mall and I had to pay my bills after that, buy some grocery. Suddenly she remembered that her father will be celebrating his birthday three weeks from  now. With that, I encourage her to go around the mall and take advantage of the privilege to see the perfect gifts that she can give her papsy.Surprisingly I was amazed to see a section where Gift Ideas for Dad's birthday was overwhelming with gift suggestion. I am glad she also had a productive night just as I am.

A SWEET LOVE STORY

Since I am so entertained by what I am reading right now, I wish to share it here the short story of a two people who seems to be both forgetful. haha. Inside the letter :

"Dear Clara" wrote the young man, "Pardon me, but I'm getting so forgetful. I proposed to you last night, but really forgot whether you said yes or no".

"Dear Will," she replied by note, " so glad to hear from you, I knew that I had said no to somebody last night, but had forgotten who it was."

Hmm.. Looks like Clara received more than one proposal that night. haha. I wonder what happened to them after, had they live happily ever after or what. Never mind me, I'm just nosy tonight.(wink)

THE ENLIGHTENED ONE

An ancient India, a prince named Siddharta had renounced his royal background to become an ascetic, desperately seeking the meaning of life through extreme means such as sitting on thorns or living on a single grain a day. One day, as he meditated by the river , a small boat passed by. On the boat, a zitar player was teaching his young apprentice. "If the string is too tight", said the teacher,  "it will snap. If the string is too loose, it will not make sound." Siddharta opened his eyes and realized that all his efforts were nothing compared to what he had just heard. He realized that if a person were to find the meaning of life, he must not go to the extremes, but pursue a middle path instead. Pursuing a middle path meant following the rules which make up a meaningful life. Siddharta eventually became the Buddha, which means " the Enlightened One".

I was reminded by the story because of things that we people often do to be accepted by the society, by our family , in the workplace, at home , by our circle of friends and most of all by God. I don't know if you will agree with me but as far as I have observe, still we do things , activities , rituals like hurting themselves and nailing their body in the cross to become holy and clean again. We somehow missed the point that God has already paid for our sins and there's no need for us again to hang ourselves in the cross to be forgiven. That All He needs  of us is our contrite heart and a broken spirit to repent and we will be again pure and clean in God's presence. May we all find the true meaning of our existence in God's love for us.

A SUGARRY FREE PEACE OFFERING

Its a Sunny Sunday today ,seems like the sun is also smiling with me and it feels good. After feeling low and upset the fast few days, but as the saying says -at the end of the tunnel there is light. Five days ago, my bf and I had a fight and I was having a hard time understanding his side because I , too has my own opinion and stand over the matter that ends us  up debating. Then suddenly  He walked out and did not talk to me for two days,in return I did not  respond to all his text and calls, which frustrate us both. But came yesterday, I didn't expect him to be visiting me,while I was outside hanging out with my friends without informing him of my whereabouts. 

My housemate says he was there for more than  five hours already. But I believe it was not my fault, he could have texted me that he was here so I could have at least go home early. When I arrived here last night, they were having fun, he approached me when he saw me and asked me to join them, and  I did. The highlight of that night was that, he asked forgiveness  for the immaturity he showed me and hand me a sugar free chocolate gift baskets, which he knows one of my weakness aside from strawberry ice cream. Yum Yum.

RENEWING HOPES AND DREAM

I always believed that our characters and attitude was first mold inside our houses, what we are right now has something to do with our childhood, past and experiences. I know it's hard to admit especially if our children is taking the wrong directions which we never wanted for them. And I believe no parents would want their children be a failure, no one. Yes, the society, environment and the people outside their children is interacting has also its share, but it will still point to the family's upbringing. 

There are families that have accepted  their shortcomings with their kids, and make up to support all the way when they learned that their child needs them. They don't hide the problem, they give solution to it, even if it means bringing their beloved teens to Drug Rehabilitation Centers for treatment.

HAPPY HAPPY PAPSY !

For the sacrifice and selfless effort to support us, your brood. For the sweat of hard work you produce to have meals on our table, we wanna thank you. Your love greatly inspires us to become a good and better person and to become a good example as you are to us. Pa, Forgive us, for the times that we disobey you and we act as if we know better than you know.For being so proud and arrogant when you were trying your best to align us, correct us, teach us to become wise and humble. Though it hurts you badly to see us sailing in the wrong direction, yet you did not give up on us, how many times did your heart melt every time we come back defeated, countless , indeed.  You seemed  tough outside but my bare eyes could see , could feel the longing to comfort us with those arms. How sweet it is to let the tears run down my face while you wrapped me in understanding.

I thank you for being my Father, Happy is the day that the Lord has made.Pa, you are  God's gift to us.

A THOUGHTFUL GESTURE

Mothers day is coming near, during this day of remembrance of our wonderful and best mothers in Earth, we make different efforts to show our thanks and gratitude with our beloved mother. Just like ordinary people out there, I also have plans for that day, Last year, I gave her flower through Mobile flower delivery , since I wasn't able to visit them home because of work.I was just thankful that time that even without my presence I could still show her my love and gratitude for being my mother since birth. For raising us, her children. It's a big help that services nowadays is so competitive and just a call and text messaging away. 

This time, I have reserve the day for my mother , so the family will have to celebrate complete, A dinner ,a small token of appreciation will really do and of course a bouquet of flowers to envelope the day with love. 

RING LOVE

Aw! you know what made me excited tonight? Well guess what I've seen this ring, a bridal ring which make my eyes pop out, It's amazing how this masterpiece come up with so lovely cuts and design and the glittering diamonds over the engagement ring, I hope I could own one. 

Who's woman would not dream of having that kind of love ring, a ring sign of your love with each other, and the reminder every time that your exclusive to someone. Lovely!  and oh, yes I'm so , so ready to accept gift like that of scott kay ring.
