I do not know anymore how many times had I mention it here how persistence I am to become an overcomer of negative attitude and other stuff in me that needs re organization. Because I am educating myself , refreshing on subject in my course, sometimes when I am alone and lazy, mixed feelings and emotions circulates. Despite a tiring day I still do not want myself to relax and be lukewarm again on my goal for this year. I remind myself every time of my plan and the reward if I am to win my battle. And developing the habit of persistence is a good motivation for me. Just as I was browsing on my old files when I saw this note on persistence, and I would like to share it here for my benefit and to serve it purpose. Here it is, I will not explain further every steps as it is already clear and simple to my understanding.
There are four simple steps which lead to the habit of persistence. They call for no great amount of intelligence, no particular amount of education, and but little time or effort. The necessary steps are:
1. A definite purpose backed by burning desire for its fulfillment.
2. A definite plan, expressed in continuous action.
3. A mind closed tightly against all negative and discouraging influences, including negative suggestions of relatives, friends and acquaintances.
4. A friendly alliance with one or more persons who will encourage one to follow through with both plan and purpose.
