BREVITY OF LIFE

Our church pastor preaching this morning was about Death. One of the lines that he mention that sticks in my mind was the fact that he says :" We celebrate Death anniversary but we are afraid of talking about death". Where most of us do not like to discuss the topic, and here it is taboo to talk about death. When we should be taking in our heart. As written in Ecc.7:2. Death is certain, and this is the destiny of every man. Just as man is destined to die once , and after that to face judgment. Heb.9:27.

On life statistics, the span of man to live these days are getting shorter and shorter. Compare the time of our ancestors. Now, the average life span of a man is 75 years old. If you live more than the average years, then it is more of a favor from God. So if death is death is destined for everyone of us, so is judgment. And this is where our walk here on Earth will speak of us when the time for us to account in front of God all the works that we do.

I like what Moses pray about on Psalm 90:12, Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. Also as our pastor say, it is now that we have to make our walk with God according to his will, while we are able to decide for our body. For if we die, we could not make anymore decision for our body.
